Defensive ends Geathers, Rucker out for season
Cincinnati Bengals11/25/2008 8:16 AM The Dayton Daily News reports the injuries suffered by defensive ends Robert Geathers (knee) and Frostee Rucker (hamstring) at Pittsburgh were severe enough to end their seasons. Both were placed on Injured Reserve on Monday, Nov. 24, leaving the defensive line dangerously thin with five games remaining. To bolster the depth on both injury-riddled lines, the club signed a pair of fourth-year journeymen from the Southeastern Conference in defensive end Josh Mallard (Georgia) and guard Evan Mathis (Alabama).
