Fractured Ribs For Westbrook
Philadelphia Eagles10/06/2008 12:47 PM The official website of the Philadelphia Eagles reports head coach Andy Reid updated the injury situation on Monday and announced that running back Brian Westbrook fractured two of his ribs during Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Washington Redskins. Westbrook finished the day with 84 total yards (33 rushing and 51 receiving) and one touchdown. Westbrook accounted for 39 total yards on the game's opening drive and scored on a 9-yard run up the middle to put the Eagles up 7-0. Reid said that he believes the injury occurred on the eighth play of the opening drive, which was an 11-yard pass from Donovan McNabb to L.J. Smith. Read more
