Bears' suspension of Harris is due to variety of offenses

The Chicago Sun-Times reports DT Tommie Harris was not sent to time out by Bears coach Lovie Smith because he couldn't keep his act together the last few weeks. The three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle was suspended for Sunday's game at Detroit because of a pattern of behavior that has marked his career, not something that is the result of off-field issues that have mounted for the player since Week 2. It was the accumulation of a variety of offenses that led to numerous fines, mostly for being late to team functions, that caught up to Harris. Read more
