Lions get 'best possible result' after Ernie Sims' MRI
Detroit Lions07/29/2008 3:52 PM The Detroit Free Press reports an MRI exam revealed LB Ernie Sims' right knee suffered only a bone bruise Sunday morning when he leapt for a pass and landed awkwardly. "I think it's the best possible result we could get back from a guy who sustained an injury to his knee, and as soon as the soreness goes away he can come back and play," said Dean Kleinschmidt, the Lions' director of athletic medicine.
