'Fairly Minor' Surgery Sidelines Randle El

The Washington Post reports WR Antwaan Randle El underwent arthroscopic knee surgery yesterday and is expected to return for the Washington Redskins' second session of organized team activities that start in June, according to Coach Jim Zorn. Randle El, who missed the first organized team activity of the offseason Monday because of his right knee, had what Zorn described as a "fairly minor" procedure to remove floating cartilage. If there are no complications, Randle El should be fully recovered in a few weeks, Zorn said. The last of this week's three OTAs, which are closed to the public, will be held today at Redskins Park. The OTAs, of which 11 are scheduled, resume June 2 and Randle El could take part in those final eight. Read more
