Chiefs to release Law, Bell, Reed, Dunn

The Kansas City Star reports the Chiefs continued their rebuilding process by telling four more veteran players they would be released, sources said. One, CB Ty Law, was a starter last season. Two, LB Kendrell Bell and DT James Reed, are former starters while the fourth player, TE Jason Dunn, was once a key reserve. All of the players are over 30 except Bell, who turns 30 in July. The Chiefs have either released or will release six veterans who had 2008 contracts. OT John Welbourn and WR Eddie Kennison, both also over 30, were previously released. Read more
