Steelers give DE two-year deal
Pittsburgh Steelers02/20/2008 9:37 PM The Post-Gazette reports the Steelers signed backup DE Travis Kirschke to a two-year contract, the team announced yesterday. He received a $300,000 signing bonus and will earn $830,000 in 2008 and $1.15 million in '09. Kirschke, who would have become an unrestricted free agent at the end of this month, will be starting his fifth season with the Steelers. He started four games in 2007 after a biceps injury ended Aaron Smith's season and played in all 16 games. Read more
