Savage to the fans: Don't give up on us
Cleveland Browns10/28/2006 1:06 PM The Dayton Daily News reports for what seemed like the 100th time since 1999, a Cleveland Browns executive instructed fans to be patient Friday. "I don't think anyone expected this to be easy, and if anyone did, they were mistaken," Phil Savage, the team's second-year general manager, said at a press conference. "My message to the fans would be, don't give up on us. Not quite yet. "We are backed into a corner, but I think our team will respond."
