Russell has caught Turner's eye
Oakland Raiders12/30/2007 11:13 AM The Mercury News reports San Diego Chargers Coach Norv Turner is considered an astute judge of talent when it comes to offensive players, especially quarterbacks. He already has a strong opinion about QB JaMarcus Russell's potential, even before getting his first look at the Raiders rookie in a game setting today. "When the Raiders were down here (Oct. 14), JaMarcus went through an extensive workout before the game, and I got a chance to watch him for the first time in person," Turner said last week. "I was just kind of blown away, impressed with his physical ability, his ability to throw a football, his accuracy and all that. He's going to be an outstanding player." Read more
