Testaverde to retire after Panthers' finale

The Charlotte Observer reports QB Vinny Testaverde's 21-year NFL career will end where it started. The 44-year-old quarterback, who joined the desperate Carolina Panthers in October, said Saturday he will retire after Sunday's season finale against Tampa Bay, the team that drafted Testaverde first overall in 1987. "I feel fortunate to have been able to play for 21 years in the NFL," Testaverde said. "I have lived a dream and have gotten to leave the game on my own terms.'' Read more
