DT Young placed on IR
New Orleans Saints12/19/2007 8:15 AM The Times-Picayune reports the Saints placed DT Brian Young on injured reserve Tuesday, officially ending his 2007 season. Young was hospitalized last week with a rare case of pneumonia, and he had fluid drained from between his chest cavity and his lungs. Saints Coach Sean Payton said Monday that doctors were able to diagnose the condition, and Young is getting better. But he said the illness would require some recovery time. Read more
