Injuries could sideline Rice and Winfield
Minnesota Vikings12/19/2007 7:53 AM The Pioneer Press reports Vikings coach Brad Childress didn't rule out WR Sidney Rice or CB Antoine Winfield from Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins. But he acknowledged their status is "uncertain right now," casting doubt on their availability during a short week. Rice has a sprained ankle, and Winfield has a pectoral strain. Winfield's injury is not expected to be season-ending. Indications are that Rice might have a high ankle sprain or something worse. Read more
