The San Francisco Chronicle reports according to information provided by the league to the 49ers, rookie LB Patrick Willis made more tackles in Sunday's game, 18, than any 49er since 1994, when tackles became an official statistic kept by the NFL. Jamie Winborn had 16 stops in a 2002 game against the New York Giants, and LB Ken Norton Jr. made 15 in a 1998 game against New England. Willis leads the NFL in tackles with 110 (83 solo, 27 assisted), according to NFL.com. That's 11 more than Baltimore's LB Ray Lewis. Read more
