Davis: We didn't attack them the way we should have
San Francisco 49ers 11/13/2007 10:42 AMThe Mercury News reports after setting personal bests in receptions in each of his past two games, 49ers TE Vernon Davis was barely a factor in Monday night's 24-0 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Davis, coming off six- and seven-catch performances in successive weeks, finished with one catch for four yards. He said afterward that he spent much of the game helping with backside protection on passing downs. At one point during the game, Davis said he approached Coach Mike Nolan to make him aware that he wasn't being used very much as a receiver. But he said Nolan was consumed with managing the game and didn't really respond.Read more
