Holcomb seems likely starter at QB

The Pioneer Press reports things could change before Sunday, but based on Wednesday's practice, it appears QB Kelly Holcomb will make his third start of the season for the Vikings in place of injured QB Tarvaris Jackson. Jackson, who fractured his right index finger last Sunday in Minnesota's 24-14 loss at Dallas, said he threw the ball a little bit and took a couple of snaps during practice, but Holcomb got most of the work. HC Brad Childress said before practice that Jackson's chances of starting Sunday against Philadelphia would depend on his ability to control the football and handle the center snap. Read more
