Angelo in no rush on Rex
Chicago Bears10/01/2007 8:19 AM The Chicago Sun-Times reports Bears GM Jerry Angelo said it's too early to close the book on QB Rex Grossman, but he sounded realistic about the future prospects of the former first-round draft pick. Hopes were high for Grossman entering his contract season, and no one was more invested in his success than Angelo, who stood squarely behind him through two serious injuries. Angelo's tenure has been littered with bad quarterbacks such as Jonathan Quinn and Chad Hutchinson and washed-out veterans such as Chris Chandler and Kordell Stewart. ''It's way too early in the season to be making determinations on anybody's future,'' Angelo said before Sunday's game. ''We've got a lot of football left to play, but we have to address that at the right time.'' Read more
