Morency gets green light
Green Bay Packers09/29/2007 9:02 AM The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports the Green Bay Packers welcomed back one ailing running back, prepared to play without another and crossed their fingers that C Scott Wells will be at full strength Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings at the Metrodome. RB Vernand Morency, the projected starter when training camp opened, did everything in practice Friday for the first time since his knee injury July 28 and almost certainly will play, perhaps extensively. The Packers have a huge need for Morency because rookie RB Brandon Jackson is out with a shin injury. Read more
