Cincinnati Bengals 09/29/2007 8:41 AMThe Dayton Daily News reports Bengals second-year OL Andrew Whitworth subscribes to Cincinnati HC Marvin Lewis' theory that the running game is more productive when plays are called in the huddle instead of at the line of scrimmage. RB Kenny Watson rushed nine times for 60 yards and a touchdown at Seattle when the Bengals huddled, while RB Rudi Johnson was limited to nine yards on 17 carries during the offense's no-huddle sequence. "Calling huddle plays in general â run, pass, everything â works well because everybody's on the same page before you hit the line of scrimmage," Whitworth said. "In the no-huddle, the play just jumps up on you. Things have to be done really fast, and you may miss some looks. Huddle plays help because you're all in the same mind-set breaking the huddle."Read more
