The Kansas City Star reports Chiefs HC Herm Edwards considers himself a patient man. That fact may have helped smooth over RB Larry Johnson’s criticisms of the team and saved QB Damon Huard his starting job. For now. Asked Tuesday whether he’d thought about benching Huard on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings and bringing in QB Brodie Croyle for the second half, Edwards said: “To tell you the truth, yeah. If we kept struggling and we weren’t going to move the ball, yeah. But that’s why it’s a good thing for me I have patience. I’m a pretty patient guy.” Read more
