Miami Dolphins 09/07/2007 9:44 PMThe Palm Beach Post reports the Dolphins said goodbye to a 2007 draft pick for the first time Friday, waiving LB Kelvin Smith to make room for DE Rob Ninkovich. The Dolphins claimed Ninkovich - a fifth-round draft choice by New Orleans in 2006 - off waivers, leaving Miami with eight of its 10 draft picks on the roster entering Sunday's opener at Washington.The Dolphins placed OG Drew Mormino on injured reserve last Sunday because of a right shoulder injury that required surgery.
