TE Stevens convicted of DUI charge

AP reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Jerramy Stevens on Friday was found guilty of drunken driving, according to the Arizona Republic. Stevens' blood-alcohol-content was nearly three times the legal limit when he was arrested about 2:30 a.m. on March 13 after he was spotted by police in downtown Scottsdale police for driving erratically. According to the report, Stevens' blood-alcohol content was 0.204 percent, putting him in the extreme DUI category. Arizona's legal limit is 0.08 percent. He faces a possible sentence of 30 days in jail. The 27-year-old Stevens, who was practicing with Tampa Bay when the verdict was announced, is scheduled to be sentenced on October 2 in Scottsdale City Court. According to the Tampa Tribune, Stevens will likely be handed a long suspension by the NFL. Read more
