Receiver pressing concern

The Houston Chronicle reports HC Gary Kubiak said the Texans will spend the weeks leading up to training camp continuing to tweak their roster. The Texans are still hopeful veteran WR Keenan McCardell will accept their offer to join the team and return to his hometown, but McCardell has other options, and the Texans have little room to negotiate because of the salary cap. “We're doing what we can do, and I know there's probably some football teams out there that can do a little more,” Kubiak said. “He's got options. I'm not sure if we're option one or number three, but we'll see. We'd love to have him, and he knows that.” Kubiak said the team does plan to bring in at least one new receiver before training camp.
