New coaches added to family
Dallas Cowboys02/14/2007 7:47 AM The Star-Telegram reports the Cowboys hired Baylor quarterbacks coach Wes Phillips, the son of new Cowboys HC Wade Phillips, on Tuesday. Wes, in a move expected since Wade's hiring, will be an offensive assistant in charge of quality control. The team also reached to its on-the-field family and hired former Cowboys and Texas A&M LB Dat Nguyen. Nguyen will take over as inside linebackers coach, the spot vacated by the departing Vincent Brown, and will be in charge of defensive quality control. Also expected to be hired is Titans receivers coach Ray Sherman, who told Tennessee HC Jeff Fisher he is leaving. Sherman might join the Cowboys as an assistant head coach. Read more
