Dolphins give contract extensions to three veterans

The Palm Beach Post reports The Dolphins may be lagging behind other NFL teams when it comes to signing their rookies, but they are taking care of their veterans this week. Three Dolphins veterans have signed contract extensions this week - linebacker Tim Dobbins signed a two-year extension, punter Brandon Fields signed a two-year extension and long-snapper John Denney signed on for three more years.

Bengals make roster moves

The Cincinnati Bengals terminated the contract of seventh-year CB Keiwan Ratliff, releasing him to free agency. The team also waived rookie S Bryan Evans, HB Walter Mendenhall, rookie P Jake Richardson and CB DeAngelo Willingham.

Ravens add Hamlin to defense

ESPN.com reports former Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl safety Ken Hamlin reached agreement on a one-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens, Hamlin confirmed Thursday evening. Hamlin, who was released by the Cowboys in April, worked out for Ravens this month.

Browns first team practice of training camp should be July 31

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports the Browns have yet to announce their training camp reporting dates, but they have informed the NFL that rookies will report on July 23 and veterans on July 30. League rules prohibit practices more than 15 days before a team's first exhibition game. Under that timetable, the Browns' full squad will take the field for the first time on July 31.

University of Toledo's Barry Church off to good start

The Toledo Blade reports University of Toledo safety Barry Church dreamed of playing in the National Football League as a child. He's one step closer to making it a reality. The 6-foot-1, 221-pound Church did not disappoint with his workout yesterday at the NFL Combine, banging out 19 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. He placed in the top 10 among the group.
