I was very happy to hear your 49ers are retaining Mike Singletary.

I saw a mock (a few weeks old) that has the 49ers drafting Matt Stafford.  I think he is the best QB prospect but the Lions should draft him, if they do not hire McDaniels to be the HC and he has them sign Matt Cassel to be the Lions QB.

I know who is in charge but someone needs to shake somebody up.  First it was Rudi Johnson then it was Justin Smith and now it is Shawn Andrews.  All of the named players are not worth top 5 $$$ at there positions.  Is it any wonder why the NFL and there fans have laughed at us for years.

Maybe Cowher will go to Miami.  LOL  I never understood why Miami hired a guy who sucked as a head coach in college.

Two down: Cam Cameron is no longer coach of the Miami Dolphins after getting only one win in his first season.

Cameron was fired Thursday by new Dolphins' boss Bill Parcells, which means the reeling franchise will have its fifth head coach in five seasons in 2008.

I tip my hat to the Patriots for doing something I never thought I would see again in my lifetime.  It's like Deion and Cris said on the pregame never in the era of Free Agency or in the era of the Salary Cap did they think this was possible.  Now the task is to finish what they started or it will all be for not.

I will say two things:

1) I do not think Carson is overrated. I think he is a very good QB and I would consider replacing Ben with Carson.

2) The Bengals are not a team.  That is the second time I watched the Bengals and saw when the defense was on the field, Chad Johnson and TJ Housh were on the bench not supporting their teammates.  Against the 49ers, they looked like they were on the bench sleeping.  The Bengals have an attitude problem, and I am not talking about their off field problems.

As a long time Bengal fan you live with the pain quite frequently.  The questions I have (and there are alot of them) are.
1. Is Carson overrated?
2. Is it the offensive play calling?
3. We have 3 talented WR's and we do not throw for alot of yardage in games lately. Other teams like the Colts, Pats and Packers do not have this issue week in week out.
4. Are the (supposed) Coaching just lacking in every phase of the game?
5. I know that we have no running game to speak of lately. I said it a few years ago Rudi Johnson was not and is not worth top 5 pay at RB.
6. Is the Off. line that poor or are they getting old before our eyes. At times Carson is running for his life back there.
7. Consistency would be a start.
8. Don't even get me started on the Defense.

WOW!!!  The Bengals are pathetic.  TJ Housh and Chad Johnson were playing scared.  TJ Housh's alligator arms showed that.  Their last play of the game, was Chad Johnson scared to get hit, lost or both.  4th and 14 and he is wide open, catches the pass near the sideline about 3 yards short of the first down.  he was so wide open, he should have easily taken a few more steps and picked up the first down.  Instead, he looks at a DB running at him and jumps backward out of bounds.  First down Pittsburgh, game over.  Was Chad fearing the hit coming his way, did he have no clue what down it was, or both?

The Bengals went 11-5 with their thugs, which was their excuse for having such a poor character team.  Now they are a pathetic team with bad character.  Marvin had his chance, I would fire him and cut the bad character players.  At least lose with dignity.
